Hi all, it's play time :) I have had this image from Saturated Canary for awhile now and simply haven't had the courage to colour her, which is silly really because it's only ink and paper I can always redo it if I don't like it. Anyway her name is Fancy and she is perfectly gorgeous. I enjoyed colouring her and I hope you enjoy checking her out :) Because she is so fancy I thought it would be nice to create the the card in a bit of a country theme, because us country girls can be a bit fancy too.
Here's something special we don't get to see everyday, Jennifer Dove from Dove Art Studios has not only been busy having a beautiful brand new baby girl she has also been preparing something else to share with everyone and today I'm going to show you some sneak peaks of what's to come tomorrow!

I have used the 'no-line' technique for this image and the next photo is how she looks when only the skin is coloured, the first time I did this I was ready to throw it in the bin but soon realized that once everything else is coloured it all comes together.
and here she is before she is placed on the card

Hello friends :) today's card is a special card as I have made it for my husband, I do have a little confession to make about this card, I had planned to make this card for my husband for fathers day to show him how much I appreciate him as an amazing father to our three beautiful girls BUT I ran out of time and didn't get it made for fathers day :( SO I made it for his Birthday instead lol mind you it's not his birthday till February lol. Just goes to show how versatile these Make it Crafty images are!
To make things interesting Zoe challenged me to create this into a Finnabair Inspired Project and my first thought was 'what is that?' so off to my best friend Google for some research only to find it is a messy project (I don't do messy)
Oh well it was a challenge and I'm always up for a challenge :)
So here's the project and this is briefly how I put it together.
First up these are the messy products I used
and my mess containment box lol
I started with an A4 355gms piece of card stock and very roughly painted it with the pink paint then placed the Chip board lettering on followed by the beautiful chippies that Zoe created.
I then placed all the flowers and embellishments until I was happy with there placement then used the Glue 'n' Seal with a small paintbrush to stick them down.
Off with the picture and on with the white Gesso covering all the chippies and the flowers.
Then came the spray paints, I held a piece a cardboard on the diagonal and squirted each side.
I placed the picture back on to see how it looked.
I wasn't happy with the excess paint on the chippies so I just dabbed them with a tissue.
I decided it need more white Gesso.
It just wasn't quite what I wanted, it was bugging me so when Zoe made a comment about the big flowers being too big I knew exactly what I had to do and out came the scissors to chop them off!
Yes that's much better :)
I then glued the image and embellishments - Done!
That sounds easy right? Well it wasn't hard as such but a little fiddly and time consuming.
Worth the effort though, thank you Zoe for gently pushing me out of my comfort zone.
So I hope I haven't confused anyone with this, the challenge is
