Happy Birthday Nicole

Hello,

Yesterday's make is a card I have made for one of  my bestie's Nicole who's having her birthday today, nothing like leaving it to the last minute :)
I purchased this stunning digital image early last year for the purpose of making a card for Nicole, the image is perfect for my beautiful friend. Someone had used this image on a card in one of the facebook groups I frequent and thankfully shared a link to this Esty store so I could purchase this and an other one that's perfect for different good friend so here's the link for you to follow if you want to see more of this artist work - Small and Round, Jeremiah Ketner.

These images are lovely to colour with most of the shading already done for you.

I coloured this with Copic Markers - Skin - YR0000, 000, 00, E93, 04. Hair - E41, 42, 43. Cherry Blossom - Rv00, 52, E70, 71. Frangipani - Y11, 13. Dove - W0, 1. YR02.
Colourless Blender solution using a 'water' fill brush filled with the colourless blender solution, putting the G12 onto some plastic then picking up the colour with the brush like 'water colouring' to achieve the 'haze' around her.

I used the Happy Birthday to you boarder from Lawn Fawn cutting off the 'to you' for this card.

Till next time, have a great day :)

Not Just a Pocket!

Hi, I'm back again :)

This time I'm sharing this fun 'thank you' card using the very versatile 'Pocket' stamp from DoveArt Studios.

This pocket could be used for males and females young or old because almost everyone has worn denim jeans at sometime in their lives, it can be used to hold a gift card or money or just a little note, for Birthdays or Christmas really the possibilities are endless.

I used four Copic Markers to colour this stamp - B34, 37, W3, 5. and a Gold Gel Pen for the stitches.

I made the little 'Levi's' tag using some scrap red card, a white opaque pen and a small circle punch.

The 'Cheers' die is from Lawn Fawn, The studs are split pins I have had for awhile and can't remember where they are from sorry.

I stamped the 'Pocket'  twice colouring the bottom one around the pocket then only colouring the pocket on the other, I then hand cut the coloured pocket and cut the word die out, then cut six extra 'cheers' words to use to build up the word finishing with the coloured word for this fun effect.

Hello friends :)

Today I have coloured up this beautiful scene from DoveArt Studios, I stamped it 5 times so I could fussy cut the chair so it would stand out, at that stage I really didn't know how this card would turn out, maybe another sunny beach scene? But then I decided the 'sun' will be a 'moon' and I'll create a night scene with a beautiful full moon. I'm happy with how it turn out, I hope you like it :)

Hello friends :)

I coloured Cleodora for the Shop before I fussy cut her for the card.

Sunset in Egypt

Hello lovelies :)

It's challenge time again over at Make it Colourful and this time it's all about the sky! Any kind of sky you like!
I had tried a few different skies before I was finally happy with this one, I'm not going to tell you this was easy because it wasn't, it was challenging!! I wish Zoe had released her New SKIES tutorial before I did this one. But that's what it's all about, getting us colourists/crafters out of our comfort zones and stretching our colouring skills!

Pyramids Card_result

I printed the digi image at 25% Grey scale to achieve an almost 'no line' effect and found a photo on Google by typing in 'Egyptian Pyramid Sunset' and looking through all the photos to find one for inspiration. Then proceeded to colour!

I used Copic Markers - Pyramids - E31, 34, 35, 37, YR01. Trees - YG97. Clouds - W1, 3. Sunset - Y11, 21, YR01, 02, 04, 16, 18. there was lots of back and forth over the sky blending then adding then blending some more and to be honest I still think a little more blending is needed but I had to stop somewhere lol. I sponged some pumice stone distressed ink around the edges to add a soften effect.

I really hope to see you all have a go at this challenge, push yourselves and practice practice practice, don't give up if I can do it so can you :)

Bye for now

Hello Beautiful

Hi everyone,
Just popping in to share my latest card, I had some spare time (well it was colour or do housework lol) so I chose to have a good look and read of Zoe's latest e-book 'Fun Techniques for Colouring Skies' and was so inspired to colour I did just that.

Tress Joyful Card_result

I started the project by colouring the hills I found in the e-book then I coloured the sky following the smooth skies section of the e-book but then I wanted to add a little texture so I got out my polychromos pencils and added a few layers of different shades of blue until I was happy with it. I decided to use my brand new 'Hello' die from WPlus9 and wanted to try a technique I'd see on instagram I think, using the die you cut through the image (scary I know) and put to one side then cut out the die again on plain white card stock about 6 times. Use some card stock on the back of the image to 'fill' the void left by the die on the image then using glue layer the six white words in the void finishing by gluing the coloured word on top, too easy and such a great effect.

12980933_10207538471638290_1866293177_o_result

Then the task of choosing the perfect character to put on this scene, with so many wonderful images in the Make it Crafty Store it was hard to choose but in the end choosing Tress Joyful was perfect for this scene :)

Tress Joyful._result

I coloured her with Copic Markers - Skin - YR0000, 000, 00. Hair - E42, 43, 44. Eyes - YG01, 03, 17, B63. Top - YG01, 03, 17, R24, 27, 29. Jeans - B91, 93, 95, 97. Shoes - E70, 71, 77. Accessories - B00, 01, BG02. Then I fussy cut her and mounted her on the scene :)

That it for me today, I hope you are having a wonderful day/evening.

Wryn - Happy Thoughts

G'Day

How's your day been? I achieved a mini goal today by walking 5kms to the next town and back again 10kms all up and I'm feeling pretty proud of myself :) having lost 20kgs over the last 9 months I am finding an abundance of energy so I went for another walk with hubby when he got home bringing the total kilometers for the day to 15.19km, boy am I going to hurt tomorrow!

So this evening I decided to relax and make a card, this is what I came up with :)

I had Wryn printed and was trying to decide just what to do with her when I came up with the idea of using an old Victoria's Secret Stamp called 'Happy Birthday Line' vertically around Wryn alternating ink colours and I'm really happy with the results. I then coloured Wryn with colours to match the stamped sentiment.

Copic Markers used - Skin - YR0000, 000, 00, E04. Hair - E42, 43, 44. Dress & Shoes - RV00, 52, 63 V01. Leggins & Top - BG11, 32, 34.

I have entered this card into the Tiddly Inks Challenge 179 Gentle Spring Colours

Have a great day/evening
