Final Make it Crafty Blog Hop - Faries

UPDATE Winners Announced  - HERE

Hi everyone,
Welcome to the final Make it Crafty Blog Hop we hope you enjoy the last hurrah.
Although this could be a sad occasion for many, myself included I think it's time to celebrate everything that Make it Crafty has been to us all and especially to celebrate the loveliest 'boss lady' owner and operator Zoe.
Make it Crafty products have been a huge part of my crafting life with the amazing digital images, quality rubber stamps, those oh so adorable chippies and possibly the most influential products in the store the colouring tutorials, I learnt soooooo much from them. All of which would not be in my life without our Zoe, the kindest most helpful person I know, she's not only my (soon to be not) 'boss lady' but I'm so very proud to call her my friend as I'm sure many of you would feel the same.
I will miss Make it Crafty but Zoe will always be my friend.
So with no further ado here's my make for the hop.

Princess Fairy

I chose to colour Princess Fairy up in Christmas colours but I'm quite sure she will be adorable in any colours.

Now because this is a 'HOP' we have to have 'PRIZES' right?
This hop is a little different in that Zoe has allowed each of the MiC Gals to choose one person from the comments on our blog to be one of the winners of a surprise parcel from Zoe!! I've received surprise parcels from Zoe in the past and believe me it'll be an awesome one.

The lucky winner that I choose needs to tell me how they first heard of Make it Crafty and what was it that drew them to become a follower/customer of Make it Crafty.

Just follow the hop list for your chance to win

Andrea - that's me

We will be choosing our winners on Sunday 1st December.

As an extra special BONUS every customer who purchases any Make it Crafty product before the store closes will automatically receive the 3 brand new fairies that we are showcasing in this hop!!!

Thank you all for your support of Make it Crafty and of my almost 6 years as a Make it Crafty Design Team Gal, it's been an amazing journey and now is the time for a new chapter.

Andrea xx

So darn proud to have this banner and to have been part of such an amazing design team.

Mother's Day @School

Hello :)

Those who know me know that I'm an integration aide at a local Primary School with just 27 students in the whole school, I love my job and all the students, they make me smile everyday.

I've been charged with card making at school for all the usual events, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas.

Last Thursday I spent most of my working day helping the students make these Mother's Day cards ready for them to give to their Mum's today, they had so much fun!

All the Staff and Students asked me to please thank Zoe from Make it Crafty so very much for generously donating the gorgeous chipboard sentiments for the cards, they are very grateful.

I made this card for them to use as a guide to create their own.

And here are the fabulous cards handmade by the students aged from 5 to 11.

They did a wonderful job!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Aussie Mum's!

G'Day all,

Today I am sharing a card I made as a thank you card to have in my stash in case I need one at sometime. It didn't start out as a thank you card it was actually going to be a birthday card but there was something about the look in Sabrina's eyes that made me think it suited a thank you card better, can you see it?
I coloured the digital image with my Copic Markers

67th Wedding Anniversary - Make it Crafty

G'day all,

I was asked by a girlfriend if I could make a 67th Wedding Anniversary for her Dad's friends in England and I was more than happy to do so, the only problem was she asked me on the Wednesday night and she needed it for the Sunday morning!!!! I work during the day and have other commitments Thursday night so that left me with Friday night and Saturday to get it done, that's okay I can do it........until I received a message that my middle daughter was taken to hospital 4hrs drive away on Friday afternoon possibly having a mini stroke, boy was that scary and all thoughts of making this card went out the window. Fortunately after a brain scan it was discovered that she hadn't had a stroke but was having a severe migraine. poor darling. She was later released from hospital and we went and collected her and her sister at the half way point, what a relief!! So there goes any chance of making this card Friday night and I hadn't yet designed or printed it. So up early Saturday and time to get busy, about 6hrs later with blurry vision it was done and here it is, I hope they love it lol.

So many flowers lol.

Inside of the card, with more flowers.

I coloured this with Copic Markers

Background

BG49 & B99

Flowers

Yellows - Y08, 18, 38 & YR04

Reds - R14, 24 & 27

Deep Reds - R35, 37, 39 & 89

Burgandy Reds - RV95, R56, 59, 37 & 39

Pinks - R83 & 85

Purples - BV11, 13, 17 & 29.

Greens - YG21, 25 & 17

Shadows - N4, 6 & W6.

I fussy cut the heart and popped it up with mounting tape on a beautiful embossed white base with a fine dark blue border then onto a white card base. I typed the sentiment inside the card with a couple of extra flowers and some doodling around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you weren't to board by my ramblings ;)

Mia - Make it Crafty Feb Challenge

Hello :)

It's time for a new challenge and this months challenge is 'Details' add details to a Make it Crafty image with a black pen. Doodles or dots or squiggly lines, something that altars the image a little.

I used 'Mia' to add my details to and it wasn't easy, I don't draw so I struggled with this challenge. I used a grey lead pencil to 'map out' my squiggles then when I was happyish with it I went over it with a Black Copic Fine Liner 0.3 then coloured her and popped her on the card.

Here she is with and without my squiggles

and colored

I was really stuck as to how to altar an image a little for awhile so I hope this helps you with your entry into this challenge.

Coloured with Copic Markers

Skin - E000, 00, 01, 21, 93

Eyes - YG23, 17

Hair T4, 6, 8

Top & Socks - B91, 93, 97

Shoes & Handbag - N3, 5, 7

I coloured the 'Happy' chippy and the Birthday base with white paint and the Birthday top with B93.

I hope this inspires you to join the challenge this month
