Bright Colours!

Hello lovely people :)

It's challenge time again and this months fun challenge is 'Bright Colours' and there is nothing more fun than bright colours to brighten your day :)

Chasing Nova,  Shady Spot and Spring in Air Digital Sentiment

I have used Copic Markers and Kaszazz Alcohol Markers.

Chasing Nova - Skin - E000, 00, 01, BV20. Hair - E13, 15, Y32, 35. Eyes - B01, 04, 63. Dress & Shoes - R24, 27, 39, Y04, 08, 19. Butterflies - V01, 04, 06. Y04, 08, 19. B01, 04. A230, 199, 201.

Shady Spot - Grass & Leaves - YG05, 07, 17, 25, 67. Tree Trunks - E43, 44, 47. Sky - B21. Rocks - W3, 5, 7.

I cut the scene out with a stitched circle die from ByDIEzyne Dies and framed it with two double scallop doily dies from Whimsy Stamps adding two little flower dies from C.C. Designs in the bottom corner to finish it off.

Beautiful Winter Cardinals

Hello all :)

I just finished making this card and had to blog it straight away because I'm so happy with how it turned out :) the 'Winter Cardinals' were an absolute delight to colour and I just happened to have some beautiful patterned papers to match, usually I struggle with paper choices.

I used Copic Markers to colour 'Winter Cardinals' 

Male Cardinal - R24, 27, 39, N6, 10

Female Cardinal - YR20, 61, 65, R02, 08, W3, N5.

Pine Needles - G46, 99

Background - BG70, 72

Glue and Glitter for the snow.

Pumpkin Fun

I'm here today with a bit of pumpkin fun using 'Pumpkin Patch' and giving it a bit of a Halloween feel :)  using a fine liner, a 'haunting fun sentiment' and a bit of imagination.

Wishing for Spring, in Australia

G'Day, I'm back again this time with 'Harvest Delight' from DoveArt Studios.

Whilst colouring this stamp all I could think about was Spring and the abundance of yummy fresh vegetables and warm days, just two weeks to wait till it's Spring here :) not that I'm counting...much.

Lotus Bloom

Hello :) 

I'm here today with my latest Make it Crafty card, I have chosen to use one of the NEW digital images 'Lotus Bloom'  it's a stunning image and I hope I have done it justice.

        

When I started colouring this image I thought I had done an ok job of it although I felt maybe I need to go a little darker on the flowers so I shared a photo (not these ones) with the other MiC Gals and they encouraged/pushed ok shoved me to not only go darker with the colours but loads darker with the shadows and I'm so happy they did but let me tell you I felt like I had run a marathon when I was finally finished, stepping out of one's comfort zone is not easy.

Here is a list of Copic Markers I used on the image -

Another Wedding Card - Mo's Digital Pencil

Hi I'm here again with the second wedding card for the week, as I said in my previous post I was asked to make a wedding card for a friend who is in a wedding party and wanted a special card so I made two so she could choose.

This is the card that she chose for the wedding :)

The digital image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called 'Wedding Couple'

I colured the image with Copic Markers, cut the layers out using By DIEzyne Big stitched & Pierced Rectangle Dies, used some red ribbon and bling buckle from my stash to finish it off.

All Dressed Up Wedding

Hello one and all :)

I'm here today with a Wedding Card that a friend has asked me to make, she is in the wedding party and wanted a special handmade card for the bride and groom. The colours for the card were to be white with a little red and silver. Here is one that I made for her. 

The image is from 'All Dressed Up' that I picked up as a freebie from Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine so not only is it super cue it was free!!! Yay! I coloured the image using Copics and Wink of Stella for the sparkly bits. 

I hope she likes it although I have made another so she gets to choose.

I'm Sorry!

Hi everyone,

I'm here today with a little card I made to say sorry, not for anything in particular but you never know when you might need a 'sorry' card and every time I saw  Duck's eyes looking up at me I just knew he was perfect for an apology card.

How sweet is he? I have kept the card very simple which I believe can speak volumes, the message is clear and without distraction. When I printed the little duck I was careful to ensure I would have plenty of 'white' space around him with room for the chipboard letters to form the word and enough distance above him so he appears to be looking up at the recipient. When colouring the 'duck' I used the 'flicking' technique that Zoe teachers in her 'Colouring Techniques with Markers' E-Book and some smooth blending on the duck's bill and feet. Here are the colours I used to colour him. Duck - E81, 84, 87 alternating the colours until I was happy with the result. Bill & Feet - Y21, YR21, YR24. I applied the lightest colour first then added the darker shades to create some depth. Eyes - E23, 27. I use a glue pen to adhere the Alpha Mini Caps Chipboard letters, I should've  draw a faint line where I wanted the letters to be because doing it freehand made it a little wobbly, never mind. I cut the cardstock out using ByDIEzyne Big Stitched and Pierced Rectangle Dies and adhered them all together with double sided tape and on the coloured layer I used mounting tape to adhere it and give it a little lift.

A Castle for Our Princess.

Hi I'm here today with a card fit for a Princess :)

I think I have a new addiction within my colouring, 'Cast Shadows' I'm loving the extra depth I can achieve by adding these shadows.
