Great Horned Owl - DoveArt Studios

Hi there :)

Do you struggle making cards for men? I did until I started using DoveArt Studios rubber stamps as a lot of them lend themselves to male cards just like the Great Horned Owl, so keeping it simple as I like to do I put together this card that I think is ideal for a male's birthday card. What do you think?

Great Horned Owl coloured with Copic Markers - 

Owl - E51, 53, 55, 57, BV20, 23, W7, Y15, 17. Tree - E44, 47, 49, G46.

For the background I used Distress Oxide Inks with a sponge and a small 'grass' stamp from Eclectic Images.

Tall Cactus - DoveArt Studios

It's a clean and simple card featuring 'Tall Cactus' rubber stamp. I've made this card with my step Dad in mind as he is a keen gardener.

Surprise Holiday Release from DoveArt Studios!

Surprise Surprise!! There's another new release from DoveArt Studios available right now at C.C. Designs   A few of the Design Team girls have put some cards together to inspire and tantalize you.

I have made two projects today, one card and one Scrapbook page using two of the NEW Rubber Stamps - Golf Clubs & Tee Border and one from the last release Brick Wall Background.

Project 1. Golf Clubs and Brick Wall Background Card.

I made this card with my Step Dad in mind as I'm sure he spends more time in the Club House then on the golf course lol. Lots of fussy cutting for this one, but I think it's worth it.

I thought a monochromatic look for this scrapbook page would fun, I just need to get some photo's of my Step Dad actually on the course to put on here lol.

Breaking Through the Wall!

Hello friends, how are you all today? I've had a such a fun time creating this card I couldn't wait to share it with you!

Brick Wall Background  and Scaredy Cat

I stamped the Brick Wall Background on both the front and back of a piece of blending card, completely coloured one side and only coloured the area that was opening on the back side. To achieve the opening I drew a circle with grey lead pencil then roughly in the center with a craft knife I cut back to the outside of the circle on a diagonal and repeated that around the entire circle then folded each 'triangle' back so it looks like Scaredy Cat is breaking through. 

I then stamped a third Brick Wall Background and coloured just one row, cut them individually and mounted them with mounting tape to form a 'pile' of bricks. 

The 'Need a Hug' sentiment is part of the 'Scaredy Cat' rubber stamp by Doodle Dragon.

Bricks - E53, 55, 57

Grout - E42, 43

Scaredy Cat - YR02, 04, 07, 18, 27. T3, 5, 7, 9

Ahhhh relaxing by the lake - Gone Fishing

Hi all :)

Andrea here with a card I made for my nephews 23rd birthday, I think he will love the idea of relaxing by the river with a fishing rod in hand.

I was colouring this image at a girlfriends house and packed up to go home without listing the markers I used sorry.

I love this stamp, the men in my life seem to love their trucks (Utes) and fishing so I'm sure it will be used many many times :)
