Final Make it Crafty Blog Hop - Faries

UPDATE Winners Announced  - HERE

Hi everyone,
Welcome to the final Make it Crafty Blog Hop we hope you enjoy the last hurrah.
Although this could be a sad occasion for many, myself included I think it's time to celebrate everything that Make it Crafty has been to us all and especially to celebrate the loveliest 'boss lady' owner and operator Zoe.
Make it Crafty products have been a huge part of my crafting life with the amazing digital images, quality rubber stamps, those oh so adorable chippies and possibly the most influential products in the store the colouring tutorials, I learnt soooooo much from them. All of which would not be in my life without our Zoe, the kindest most helpful person I know, she's not only my (soon to be not) 'boss lady' but I'm so very proud to call her my friend as I'm sure many of you would feel the same.
I will miss Make it Crafty but Zoe will always be my friend.
So with no further ado here's my make for the hop.

Princess Fairy

I chose to colour Princess Fairy up in Christmas colours but I'm quite sure she will be adorable in any colours.

Now because this is a 'HOP' we have to have 'PRIZES' right?
This hop is a little different in that Zoe has allowed each of the MiC Gals to choose one person from the comments on our blog to be one of the winners of a surprise parcel from Zoe!! I've received surprise parcels from Zoe in the past and believe me it'll be an awesome one.

The lucky winner that I choose needs to tell me how they first heard of Make it Crafty and what was it that drew them to become a follower/customer of Make it Crafty.

Just follow the hop list for your chance to win

Andrea - that's me

We will be choosing our winners on Sunday 1st December.

As an extra special BONUS every customer who purchases any Make it Crafty product before the store closes will automatically receive the 3 brand new fairies that we are showcasing in this hop!!!

Thank you all for your support of Make it Crafty and of my almost 6 years as a Make it Crafty Design Team Gal, it's been an amazing journey and now is the time for a new chapter.

Andrea xx

So darn proud to have this banner and to have been part of such an amazing design team.

Mother's Day @School

Hello :)

Those who know me know that I'm an integration aide at a local Primary School with just 27 students in the whole school, I love my job and all the students, they make me smile everyday.

I've been charged with card making at school for all the usual events, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas.

Last Thursday I spent most of my working day helping the students make these Mother's Day cards ready for them to give to their Mum's today, they had so much fun!

All the Staff and Students asked me to please thank Zoe from Make it Crafty so very much for generously donating the gorgeous chipboard sentiments for the cards, they are very grateful.

I made this card for them to use as a guide to create their own.

And here are the fabulous cards handmade by the students aged from 5 to 11.

They did a wonderful job!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Aussie Mum's!

Christmassy Abigail - Make it Crafty

Hello everyone,

I'm here today with a Christmas card I made using the gorgeous 'Abigail' who isn't specifically a Christmas image but she's very versatile don't you think. I teamed her up with a 'Merry' single layered chipboard word and a 'Christmas' stamp from the Fairy Tag Tops unmounted rubber stamp set. I'm pretty happy with the end card, I hope you like it.

Coloured with Copic Markers -                                        Abigail

Skin - E000, 00, 01, 11, 04
Hair - Y21, E50, 51, 53, 55, 57
Dress - G21, 24, 43, 46, R02, 08, 24, 27, 89, White Gel Pen & White pencil on the Apron.
Boots - N9, 7, 5, Y21, 26, 28.

I painted the base of the 'Merry Chipboard word' with white paint then used R27 Copic Marker on the top layer and applied a coat of Glossy Accents on top. I stamped the 'Christmas' word with White pigment ink on red card stock then embossed it with white embossing powder.

Sparkle Matilda - Make it Crafty Challenge.

Hello all, It's challenge time again :) this months challenge is 'Sparkle' and yes it is challenging but that's what its all about, I'm not entirely happy with my results but I gave it a good try and next time I'll be better at it. It's also very hard to 'capture' sparkle with a photograph, my card 'sparkles' much more in real life!
Although I made this card for the challenge I also made it for a very special young ladies 21st birthday, Matilda looks so much like her.

Skin - E000, 00, 01, 11, 04

Eyes - B41, 45, 60, 63

Hair - E51, 53, 35, 37, 07

Boa - N4, 6, 8, 10

Glass/Drink - C0, 2, B000, YG93, 97

Jewelry - Y11, A1205, Spica 16 - Buttermilk

Dress - R39, 59, 89, Spica 21 - Lipstick & 22 - Garnet, White Gel Pen.

I would recommend watching some Maxx Stephen Youtube clips for inspiration for the challenge, here's a link - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfVk6lTTcX6FPHRaqajE6AA

Looking forward to seeing your entries

Bauble Fairy Reflection - Make it Crafty

Hello :)

Today I was supposed to do housework :( but Bauble Fairy Reflection had other ideas :) she just kept calling me to colour her and pop her on a card soooooo I did :) and here she is.

It's so hard to capture the 'sparkle' in photo's so here's some pic's I took along the way that I've kinda captured but it's so much 'sparklier' in real life.

I coloured Bauble Fairy Reflection with Copic Markers, Kaszazz Alcohol Markers, White Gel pen and Spica Pens.

Bauble - Y11, A1205 Butter, A7406 Mustard, A122 Dandelion, 11 Gold Spica, 16 Buttermilk Spica and a White Gel Pen.

Fairy Reflection - E00, W3, G21, R02, Y12, A7406 Mustard and A1205 Butter all over the image.

Fairy - E00, 01, 04, W3, 5, 7, G21, 43, 24, 46, R14, 27, 59, Y11, A1205 Butter, A7406 Mustard, A122 Dandelion, 16 Buttermilk Spica, 11 Gold Spica and white Gel pen.

I coloured the Christmas Adapt-a-words and Wishes Single Layered word with G46 for the base word, Y11, A1205 Butter and A7406 Mustard for the Christmas and Wishes top word then covered them all with glossy accents.

Shadow Baby Box - Make it Crafty

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing my first ever Chipboard Square Shadow Box , It was surprisingly easy to put together. I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed in my decorating skills, the picture in my head was much better lol, but for a first try it's not too bad.

I chose to go with a Baby theme using a photo of my now 20 year old daughter, some pattern paper, ink and some of Make it Crafty's fabulous chipboard single layered words , Adapt-a-Words and Elements Themed Sets .

I followed the directions (almost to the letter) that come with the chipboard shadow box, I did use too much glue which was what NOT to do and found the chipboard swelled a little SOOOO learn from my mistake and only use a little bit of glue and spread it with your finger.

I coloured the chipboard elements with my Copic Markers - B41, Y11, RV52 and G12.

Now to put another order in for more shadow boxes, I think they might become my new addiction.

Pretty Pumpkin - Make it Crafty

Hello there :)

I'm loving the 'Pretty Pumpkin' digital image in the Make it Crafty Store so thought I'd colour her up and share with you guys. I've also loved seeing the creations others have made using her that they have shared in the Make it Crafty Facebook Group, so inspiring.

I chose to print her using the washout setting in the 'colour' section of the Microsoft Word program, Zoe has created a video showing how to do this, here's the link - VIDEO

I coloured her using Copic Markers - Skin - E000, 00, 02, 11. Lips - R81, 83. Eyes - BG01,05. Hair - Y21, E53, 55, 57. Clothing - BG01, 02, 05, R81, 83, Y13, 17. Shoe - N3, 5, 7, 9, Y23, 26, 28. Pumpkin - YR01, 04, 07, YG93, 95, 97.

I also coloured the chipboard elements with Copic Markers - R81 for the pink and BG02 for the blue then coated them with glossy accents to achieve the 'shine'.

I created the background with distress oxide inks - broken china and worn lipstick, water and a coffee stain rubber stamp.

Have a wonderful day

Pumpkin Jack Jolly - 'Case'd Card - Make it Crafty

Hi All,

Have you heard about us Make it Crafty DT Gals 'CASE'ing each others card?
What's 'CASE'ing you might ask, I know I did lol. 'CASE'ing is when you 'Copy And Steal Everything'.
We started with Deborah's card - Here   then Marika 'Case'd it Here and now it's my turn.

Here is what I came up with, using Pumpkin Jack Jolly from the 'Halloween Pumpkin Digi Set' and 'Boo' chipboard word.

To achieve the 'Glow' from within the pumpkin I watched Zoe's tutorial which you can find HERE

Coloured with Copic Markers.

Oranges - YR4, 7, 9, 27, R08, E07, 08.
Greens - G94, 99
Yellows - Y04, 06, 38
Black - 110 Special Black.

I used a black pigment ink around the edges of the card to darken it a bit more.

It's been fun learning about and creating a 'CASE'd card.

Create Magical Moments - Make it Crafty

Hello friends :)

How are you today? Well I hope.

I'm excited to share my card today using the new 'Magical Adapt-a-word' and 'Magical' chipboard word along with 'Mr Snowman' digital image, 'Falling Snow Background'  rubber stamp, 'Mini Stars' chipboard and 'Pretty Snowflake' chipboard. I love how it turned out, just as I had imagined which doesn't always happen lol.

For the background I used Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink, then stamped the 'Falling Snow Background' rubber stamp using a light mist of water to 'remove' the ink and leave the 'whiteish' dots.

I coloured 'Mr Snowman' with Copic Markers - C0, 1, 3, YG21, 23, 25, 17, B000, 01, YR02, 04, 09, E43, 44. Fussy cut him out and mounted him on top on the 'Snow mounds' with mounting tape.

I coloured the 'Chipboard' items with white gel pen, faded jeans distress oxide ink and sprinkled the stars and snowflake with glitter. Then added a few clear sequences to bling it up a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by, see you next time

Isn't she gorgeous! I love her big eyes and cute 'pig tails' and who wouldn't want to receive that beautiful bouquet, I know I'd love it :)

Carlie with Flowers & Birthday chipboard word.

I coloured the digital image with Copic Markers and Polychromos Pencils.
 Skin - E000, 00, 01, 11, 04.
 Hair - E53, 55, 57. Bister 179, Yellow Ochre 183.

I cut a 30cm x 30cm piece of white card stock in half and used that for the card base, I ran a scrap piece of white card stock through my big shot with an embossing folder then trimmed it to 145cm x 50cm. Fussy cut Carlie with Flowers and mounted her on the embossed piece of card, stamped the word 'wishes' and then coloured and glued the 'Birthday' chipboard word to the card, finishing with a few sequences.

I hope you are all well and having a great day :)

Distress Oxide Fun! - Make it Crafty

Hi everyone :)

I had so much fun creating this card I couldn't wait to show you, it's not perfect but I thoroughly enjoyed making it.
I purchased some of the new Tim Holtz distressed oxide and started to create some colourful backgrounds, when I finished this one I knew I had to make a card with some sort of silhouette image on it, so off to the Make it Crafty store to look for a stamp or two :) I found 'Tree of Love rubber stamp' and 'Petals & Palings rubber stamp' , after I stamped them I had to colour black with a black pencil to achieve the silhouette effect and here it is!

I thought making it a shaker card would be fun and add a bit of interest to it. I coloured a Hello Chippy  with fired brick distress oxide and Black 100 copic marker, stamped the 'sunshine' word on a piece of card left over from cropping the background to add to the card.
To make the background I used Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber Distressed Oxide and 3 sponges to blend the colours together then squirted some water on it to achieve the splattered look.
I hope you get inspired to create something new today :)

Reindeer Games - Tiddly Inks

Hello :)

I'm back with another Christmas card, I coloured this image and a couple of others while I was away holidays a week or so ago and spent some spare time today to pop this one on a card.

I have used one of the New Images from Tiddly Inks, 'Reindeer Games' featuring Wryn and a handsome reindeer :)

I have coloured the image with Copic Markers - Skin - E000, 00, 01, 71. Hair Y21, E53, 55. Dress & Hat - R14, 24, 27, 59. C0, 1, 3. Belt & Shoes - N2, 4, 6, 8, Y21, 26, 28. Deer - E31, 33, 35, W2, 4, 6. Bells - Y21, 26, 28.

I cut the image using a square die from CC.Designs and mounted it onto a bigger red square then onto a card base, glued some gold dots and after colouring the 'Merry' word chippie from Make it Crafty I placed it above the 'Christmas' word I had typed on before printing.

Hoping you are looking forward to Christmas :)
