Daddy Reading CAS Card

Hello Friends,

I'm so excited to be back on the MiC Design Team to bring the MiC images, rubber stamps and chipboard designs to life and hopefully inspire you to create with these quality products too.

Today I am sharing a very clean and simple card with you that I created using the 'Daddy Reading' digital image that Zoe has for free on the Make it Crafty Facebook group and a quote from Dr Suess.

Breaking Through the Wall!

Hello friends, how are you all today? I've had a such a fun time creating this card I couldn't wait to share it with you!

Brick Wall Background  and Scaredy Cat

I stamped the Brick Wall Background on both the front and back of a piece of blending card, completely coloured one side and only coloured the area that was opening on the back side. To achieve the opening I drew a circle with grey lead pencil then roughly in the center with a craft knife I cut back to the outside of the circle on a diagonal and repeated that around the entire circle then folded each 'triangle' back so it looks like Scaredy Cat is breaking through. 

I then stamped a third Brick Wall Background and coloured just one row, cut them individually and mounted them with mounting tape to form a 'pile' of bricks. 

The 'Need a Hug' sentiment is part of the 'Scaredy Cat' rubber stamp by Doodle Dragon.

Scaredy Cat - YR02, 04, 07, 18, 27. T3, 5, 7, 9

I love all of the stamps and of the Design Team cards were amazing. My favorites are the Parrot Duo, Flag Works, and Sandcastle small.

With Sympathy

Hello friends,

I'm doing this blog post today in memory of my beautiful sister in law Christine, on the 17th of May 2017 Christine lost her battle with cancer at the age of 55, too young. She was the glue that kept our extended family together, the one that always organised the family get together's, our go to for almost anything, nothing was ever to hard for Christine. She had so much love for us all and she has passed on these traits to her 3 children, John 23, Aaron 19 and her mini me Sarah 17, bless her. She will be so sadly missed but remembered with pride. Love you Christine.

I started colouring this rose (Roses of Love) just for fun from Make it Crafty but when Christine passed away I knew I had to finish it for her.

I coloured the Rose's with my Copic Markers -
