New Challenge for May - Portraits.

Hello friends :) For my post today I have created a journal page, with the help of Zoe's new Colouring Tutorial 'Basic Techniques when Colouring Faces' I was able to give shape and depth to my model 'Scott'  for his portrait. The step by step instructions in this tutorial are so easy to read and understand making flat one dimensional  pictures pop from the page, anyone can do this with the guidance you receive from this ebook.

Anyhow, it's a new month and there is a NEW Challenge over at Make it Colourful 'Portraits' so head on over and join in the fun challenge, Here's my Portrait of Scott Sitting which I cropped to do a head shot.

Time for this months New Release at C.C. Designs

Meet Banner Heidi! She is just adorable.

I've coloured Heidi with Copic's

Especially for our ANZACS!

100 years of ANZAC!

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

It is with honor and pride that I share this card today for it is to say THANK YOU to those that have fought for us and lost their lives for us and for those who continue to do so today to keep us safe.

I have the utmost respect for all the armed services.

My middle daughter is awaiting news to see if she has been accepted into the Australian Defense Force for a gap year position, we are so very proud of her choice to do this so fingers crossed it works out for her.

I have donated this card and two others using this image to our local RSL for them to use as they see fit.

Zoe from Make it Crafty has very generous offered this image 'Poppies' and sentiment as a Freebie for this weekend only through the Make it Crafty Newsletter so if you receive the newsletter use this poppy on a project to show your respect.

I coloured the poppies with my Copic's,

Petals - R35, 37, 39 Y28
Stems - YG03, 63, 67
Shadows - W6

Lest we forget

Now Featuring DoveArt's 3rd Release!

We have 8 new image stamps and a sentiment set from DoveArt and you are invited to our wonderful blog hop. These images are beautiful and make for some very elegant cards. Many of the images will be perfect for Mother's or Father's Day cards, which is right around the corner.
We have a elegant, beautiful hop for you to enjoy today. The stamps are available for purchase now, you will want them all by the end of the hop. You can purchase the stamps here.

I love these stamps so much, they are so realistic and are not difficult to colour with great guide line for creating shadows and depth. I chose to play with 'Gone Fishing' for my first card.

And for my second card I chose 'Old West Locomotive'. I had few goes at this one trying to create the right background and that smokey steam but I think the end result works.

Come hop along with us and visit the blogs of our awesome Design Team. The next person on our hop is Dorinda
If you get lost along the way here is our hopping list

Make sure you follow the whole hop and comment on the blogs along the way, one random blog has our prize, we will have 1 winner that receives 2 new rubber stamps.
Make sure to stop by our Facebook group, we have more giveaways in the group.
