Just Hanging Around

Hello friends :)

Just popping in to share my latest card that I have made just for fun, I've had this image printed for ages and have being dying to get her coloured up. Life has changed for me this year with the results meaning I have a lot more time for doing what I love to do, which colouring so look out for loads more posts from me lol, I hope I don't bore you.

Here is  Wryn - Hanging Around  from Tiddly Inks

I'm pleased with how she turned out :)

I coloured her using Copic Markers - Skin - YR0000, 000, 00, 01, E93. Hair - W2, 4, 6, 8. Shorts & Sleeves - B23, 24, 26. Belt - E23. Top - Y06, 15, 38. Branch - E23, 27. Leaf - YG - 03. Shadows - W2, 4.

I cut the image out with a stitched circle die and mounted onto a card I'd splatted with Dylusions London Bridge Ink Spray and stamp 'hello friend' with my clear stamps from Wplus9 which I clear embossed.

I have entered this card in the latest challenge over at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog, wish me luck.

Zoey's 21st

Hello lovelies, Today's card is one I made for our dear friends daughter Zoey (not MiC's Zoe) I have known Zoey for 21 years she and my daughter Staci (who turns 21 in March) have grown up together, so this card is a special one for me. I call this card a 'fancy' card for me because those who know me know that I'm a CAS girl when it comes to cards lol.

Fluttering Sapphire Fairy

Hi, I'm back :) this time with an oldie but a goody! This is Fluttering Sapphire Fairy :) Another CAS card from me with the sentiment coming from two rubber stamp sets, the 'Fairy' word from Fairy Tag Tops and the 'Wishes' word from Santa Tag Tops.

Fluttering Sapphire Fairy Card._result

I used clear Wink of Stella on her wings that you can nearly see on here, so hard to capture the sparkle.

Sailing off into the sunset!

Hello lovely people :)

It's Andrea here today with a bit of inspiration for you. Male cards are always harder to do then female cards mainly due to the lack of great male orientated stamps but look no further because this one is fabulous and one that most people even if  your not a sailor would relate to, who doesn't want to go sailing off into a sunset?? I know I would be keen and I've never sailed. Hope you like it :)

I coloured the stamp with Copic Markers - Sun - Y11, 21. Sails - YG93, 95, 97. Hull - E35, 37. Water - B16, 37, Y21.

Fairies & Mushrooms

Hi everyone :)

Just stopping by to share with you this cute little card I made using Sapphire Sitting Fairy & Whimsical Mushroom from Make it Crafty.

Sitting Sapphire Fairy Card.._result

I coloured this using Copic markers - Skin - YR0000, 000, 00. Hair - B23, 24. Eyes - B23, 26. Dress - B23, 24, 26, C2, 3. Wings - C2, 3 & Clear Wink of Stella.  Whimsical mushroom - E70, 71, 74, 77. Grasses - YG61, 63, 67, B26. Lady Beetle - R24, 27 N6.

When I finished colouring this little scene I chose to use a circle die to cut it out then after making two different card bases and some advice from Zoe decided to make a scalloped circle easel card but wasn't sure how exactly to do it so Zoe found this tutorial from Dawn Olchefske - DOstamping, it's great learning something new :) Thanks Zoe and Dawn.

Happy Crafting

The Beautiful Calla Lilies

G'day all, I'm back today with a CAS card I made using the beautiful Calla Lilies, my first instinct was to colour the white because that's the only colour I had seen them in in real life then I decided to do a google search for Calla Lily and was pleasantly surprised to see they came in lots of different colours so I chose to do this one in shades of Violet.

Calla Lily Card_result

The card is 13.7cm tall and 10.5cm wide, I added the rubber sentiment stamp after I printed the digital image and when I had coloured the image added a few sequences and tiny confetti stars.

I coloured the Lilies with Copic markers - Petals - YG00, V0000, V20, V22, V25. Stamen - Y13. Leaves - G05, G46, G28. I also dotted the leaves ever so lightly with a pastel white pencil as the leaves for this coloured Lily are variegated.

Transparency??

Hello lovelies,

Transparency Challenge?? Wow that's what I call stretching the colouring skills, but I gave it a go and even though I'm not entirely happy with the results it was fun trying something new :)

This is my first try using the Fluffy Bats behind the Moving Ghost to make him appear transparent.

Trans - Ghost_result

My second attempt was somewhat more challenging and right out of my comfort zone, I drew and used pencils lol.

I was inspired to try and draw a crystal ball after watching a youtube tutorial by Leonardo Pereznieto from Fine Art Tips he makes it look so easy lol,  this is my third attempt and I'm keen to continue practicing some more.

Fairy Bells - Fairy Tag Tops Rubber Stamp & Chipboard Word - Doodle Dream Words

crystal ball_result

I used Derwent Graphic Pencils H & HB, Polychromos Pencils 199, 235, 132, 235, 179, 180 & 166 and a Conte a Paris White Pastel Pencil 013. I coloured the chipboard word with a white pigment ink pad.

I hope to see you all having a try of this challenge to stretch your colouring skills :)

Ok so I won't be doing a colour list for this guy lol, I stamped 'Bad Doggy' ready to colour and whist I was working out what papers I would use I popped him on this paper and immediately fell in love with it so decided to just leave him uncoloured, which shows you that these stamps look great whether you are a colourer or not :)
